DAILY GUIDANCE FROM GOD DEVOTIONAL - Friday, April 26th, 2024 AD
Yom Shishi, 18th of Nisan, 5784 (Hebrew Calendar)
In everything you do, put God first, and he will direct you and crown your efforts with success. Proverbs 3:6
In order to do right by God, you must make Him your main priority every single day. All of your thoughts and actions throughout the day must be guided and facilitated by God. Any thoughts or actions that are not from God or not of God will result in unjust behavior that will not be pleasing to God. When you allow these types of thoughts and actions to take place, you are inviting the devil into your mind and allowing him to conduct his evil activities, which will place you in situations and circumstances that you will regret. You can see why God must be the main priority in your day and why all of your thoughts and actions must be pleasing to Him. You can quickly get yourself into a bind when you choose to make things of this world a priority over God.
Living a life in alignment with God's will demands a steadfast commitment to prioritize His presence and guidance in every aspect of our existence. It necessitates a conscious dedication to center our thoughts and actions around His divine principles, allowing His wisdom to illuminate our path. For when we stray from His guidance, we risk succumbing to unjust behavior that not only displeases God but also opens the door for malevolent forces to sow seeds of discord within us. By prioritizing worldly desires over our spiritual connection with God, we inadvertently grant the adversary space to orchestrate chaos in our lives, leading us down regrettable paths. Hence, recognizing the paramount importance of God as our main priority each day is not merely a matter of faith but a practical necessity for navigating life's complexities with integrity and purpose. It is through this unwavering commitment to divine alignment with God that we safeguard ourselves against the pitfalls of worldly distractions and find true fulfillment in walking the path of righteousness.
LET'S PRAY: Dear Heavenly Father, I want to please You with the words I say, the actions I make, and the very thoughts of my mind. I want to please You with the desires of my heart, the content of my character, and the way I treat people around me. I want my everyday life to be an example of what a true Christian should be like. I want my everyday life to glorify You. Lord, I know that I cannot achieve these things without faith. I need an unwavering, non-dwindling, and ever-increasing faith in You. I need no place for doubt in my heart. Lord, I want to please You that You may find joy listening to my prayers and answering me. Lord, as I come to You today, making the desires of my heart known to You, I ask that You find delight in rewarding me for the diligent work of my hand. Lord, I have made the decision to keep Your commandments and do those things that are pleasing in Your sight, that whatever I ask in prayer, I will receive from You. In the name of Your Son, Jesus Christ, we pray, Amen.
